I agree the originals are pretty ordinary, have installed NGK laser Platinum in mine. The part code is PTR5A-13, they seem to make the engine run smoother but that could be the placebo affect in action.

Ie. cough medicine.

I saw a program not long ago where doctors had two groups of people with coughs/colds. One group was given a pill which contained sugar, the other group was given a pill which was actual medicine. Of course both groups were told they were having cough medecine.

The results were that the group which consumed the sugar pill actually improved in their condition. Proves the power of the mind.

Im guessing what he is saying is that if you replace the spark plugs on your car with ''BETTER'' ones you will notice a difference.. or at least think you notice it.

Although the people that replaced their spark plugs becuase the originals were rusted and caused a misfire did get an improvement. Hence why I never changed mine coz they are fine.

I've got those NGK Platinum super expensive things in it... $19.80 each. The Ford ones that are supposed to go 60,000km or something were looking pretty tired when I took them out at 20,000.

Yes they're expensive ($120 a set???? Bought them 3 years ago so don't quite remember). Yes you need a specific set, but they can make up a set for you I think. But they're not just pretty. They are a serious bit of kit. Give them a call and find out
