Well I've only one thing to say to that....I don't know how you found it....but I'm bloody proud of our Socceroos...they did themselves proud...and I am not a soccer(football) fan.

as for soccer i personnaly think that the game is for actors. after seeing a few of the penaltys in the highlights it only confirms my opinion. also it is making sooks out of the next generation. kids run out on the field and take dives for penaltys and they sook if they get a liitle scratch.

as for the socceroos i actually feel they were targeted by the refs. i only think this as everyone says so cause i haven't watched more then 1 min of any world cup soccer.

thats what i think of this so called world game.

rather soccer then bloody football any day. I've played aussie rules and I'm not impressed with the shirt fronts behind play. Play a team like west heidelberg, lalor or thomastown and you'll know what I mean.

im so glad the socceroos didnt win aganist italy they are the worst sporting team ever big deal they won aganist japan then croatia but when it comes down to teams which are actually good at soccer ...brazil and italy.. they cant win which shows there not good enough and shouldnt be at world cup ever!!!

Who do you suggest would be able to beat Brazil and Italy but didnt make the world cup?, I didn't know worst teams ever could make the world cup, along the way eliminating a football mad country and previous world cup winner in Uruguay.

Also using that theory, does that mean Essendon should be excluded from the AFL this season because they wont be able to beat Adelaide or West Coast this year?

I dont like soccer but I was hoping the Socceroos would do well, and it was a shame to see how they went out... a bad umpiring decision is pathetic, regardless of the sport!

Essendon should be excluded as they are bunch to no tallent clowns.

Makes some valid points. It's a frustrating sport to watch. Only sport where your acting skills play such a large part or your overall skill. :(

people claim that this "acting" part of soccer reduces its claim to be a sport. However there a set of guidelines on how to rate on field acting/faking. AS/NZS 2432.8 - 2006 Covers this in detail

So... according to your theory, we shouldnt even have sporting tournaments? The Soccer World Cup should be played every 4 years and there should only be one match between Italy and Brazil? Because according to you, those two are the good teams and anyone who can't beat them shouldnt be at the cup. I think you have some very ignorant views.

Actually, he was probably refering to the womens World Cup. The last Womens World Cup was held in 2003. And the Womens team did win the Cup in those years.
