Default pressing accelerator pedal to start on au2 xr8 220 is it safe!!!

got a slight problem starting my car its a au2 xr8 220, have been told they have a problem over fueling on startup the car wont start but cranks its like theres no fuel getting thru, someone has told me to put my foot flat to the floor whilst starting to stop this problem is this ok to do with mpefi i thought it was not reccomended with efi i thought the fuel pump distributes fuel around the engine on start up,anyway can anyone tell me if i can put my foot to the floor whilst starting and is it safe because it may fix my problem she starts 8 times out 10 first go but the other 2 times it cranks but just wont start.

Maybe some injector cleaner, or some new spark plugs?

Have heard about this ... and was something to do with clearing excess fuel ... was to do with resetting something when trying to crank the engine over at WOT.

But don't quote me on it ... but have read it in a few places though.

Its fine, it also mentions it in your handbook that if it was to flood, start the car with your foot flat.

Have had to resort to this myself a few times as well - no real issues.

Perfectly safe, all it does is tell your ecu to close the injectors while cranking so that no more fuel is added to your combustion chamber
