Default auto gearbox setting

hey chris,
with the edit is it possible to have 2 settings for the gearbox, eg: normal shifts in "D" mode, but then firm instant shifts when put into performance mode, with both settings in the same flash program ? for ba series 4 speed auto

Yes mate - we can have fast and faster lol

some people like a standard shift for day to day cruise, some want a more agro shift for weekends, and we also have shifts more suitable for people who wish to turn the odometer 1/4 mile at a time!!

How did you recover from heathcote young fella??

ah not too bad mate, went back to my mates for more drinks, his house was colder than the track :yelroflm i've got a dvd made up just gotta make a copy and mail them to you and craig so i haven't forgotten they are on their way
yeah the fast and faster setting is pretty much what i'm after the "d" mode to be faster than stock but not harsh and the "manual" shift changes to be instant gearbox shredding shifts for when i'm in the mood for some fun

You wont need to shift it manually ReVd_uP.

My car has that race shift pattern built in to the tune Chris did and changing manually doesn't make it any quicker or any more fun than it already is.

But it will certainly do "2nd gear chirpies".

yeah i already have the edit done, but what i was wondering was, is the edit capable of tuning it so that in 'D' you have next to factory shifting but when manually shifting the shift has the same firmness as the 'race tune' with out having to reflash it, if its possible it would be awesome.... and i wouldnt mind doing it as soon when i get a retune if and when my extractors finally arrive

thats my plan too, that way the missus can drive the car without harsh shifts around town but then when the need arises i can have instant shifts

It would be nice to have two tunes available that you can swap between without a reflash.
