Post Pictures Of Lowered Cars!

I want to lower my AU but i want to see pictures of the AU's lowered on SL allround, UL all around! Or even a mixture as in SL on front & UL on rear! This would be great as it will help me to choose what to go with!

Please state with ur photo how low it is!

Cheers

Simon : _2:

Not a great shot but I'll kick you off. Three inches dropped off the front and running 19's. The rear wasn't lowered as much because I was traveling rough roads with big loads at the time...

Simon, whished i could answer that as i have never run the Kings ( not saying they are no good ) and i work it a bit dif, where i went in and discussed with the guys in pedders the height i wanted and handling etc, i didnt worry about low / superlow stuff just gave him the specks i wanted and he set it up that way.

Done the same with the BA measured it up / clearances etc to my lane and again set up great, i have about 2mm clearance getting in and out of the yard. but both were dumped as low as they could go

Superlows all round (courtesy of Casper & Carratt):

The wagon has superlows in the front, and matching height leaf springs in the rear.

Super lows all round but due to new gas install will be upping the rears to lows. ( not a fan of the *** dragging low stance)

SLs with dual fuel (Gas tank in boot) run about the same as SSLs. I wouldn't mind lows back in mine at the back.

Would superlows & a sound system in the rear, sit like ultra lows? Or wouldnt a sound system matter much? Or should i just be brave and go ultra lows?

Not the best angle but this was with Super Lows.

The rear could do with the SSL's like everyone says.

Times have changes since i did the suspension in my old XE ( one of the first fords with coils ) , back in those days to lower it i used the so called 'Lowered Pedders Reds Heavy duty in the front, and Extra Extra Heavy duty Lowered pedders reds in the rear' but slightly higher to compensate for the gastanks too ( was running straight gas ) . Now all these sl , ssl ,ul etc etc...my god ..lol , allthough they sound a hell of alot cheaper these days than what they used to cost to replace the springs and shocks .

If you have 2 'Full' tanks a majority of the time then imo i recon it would sit more level with SL"s all around , but if u run empty tanks a majority of the time then ull prolly find it will sit more level and even with ssl's in the rear .

Not sure if the same would apply with SL's but with Kings lows depending on how much Gas I have the rear sits about even or 5mm lower than the front, usually have 1/3rd a tank of petrol, mostly full of lpg and a sub and amp (which would probly make bugger all difference)

A light polish with that color shaded 'turtle wax' if allready a little dull, then top it off with a premium carnauba wax to bring up the shine does the trick ;) .

Heres mine at the track.

I don't think I can go much lower in the front, not that I'd want to anyway.

There is only 85mm clearance under my headers.... most speed humps around where I live are 90 - 100 mm. Bloody councils.

That looks a nice height , i wanna lower mine more soon but i need to get the exhaust sorted out first i think . The original VCT twin mufflers on mine allready just scrape over those killer metal yellow/black striped speedhumps. They just keep dumping them in everywhere latelly , instead of fix the pot holes in the roads, it's just naaaaaaaa , we'll insert another killer speed hump instead :( .

Why would you run around with a full tnk of petrol - you only need to keep it over 1/4 full. With full LPG, SLs would be the max you would need, as the effective height would be lower than SSLs. I want to go back to lows.
