Hey people i was wondering if some of you have the same drama as i have. whenever i go for a big launch off the line my car gets some serious axle tramp and it feels so horrible i just back off and now i just bog it down off the line as i dont want to break my diff. But bogging it down loses me heaps of time at the autokhana track days. I got some Tramp rods welded to the bottom of the car but still have the same issue! Is there a solution to fix axle tramp? I'm running a 2L pinto with sierra 5 speed and rs2000 diff. Bilstein shocks aswell. Any help appreciated :1syellow1 |

Check that your bilsteins are actually doing the job you paid all that money for. Jack up the car and fit it on stands. Unbolt the shocks at the base and push up on them by hand. They should be a real struggle to get back on otherwise they are stuffed. I don't spend more that $120 on rear shocks and they last me 2 years on average before the back end starts tramping again.
Unless you are pumping out serious power, a 4-link kit is a waste of time and money. |
