Hi
Has anyone had the Audio Booster kit fitted. (This is for MP3 Player connection). I have spoken to Ford but I can't get any conclusive answers. I assume that the connection that comes with it is automatically compatible with my Ipod?? Has anyone had any experience with this and can vouch for the quality of this kit? Cheers Craig |

I purchased this kit from Ford (about $28) and fitted it.
The auxiliary kit just plugs straight into the same-coloured (white from memory) multi-pin plug behind the fuse box - then track the other end of the wiring to the rear of your tissue box in the centre console, bore a hole and fix it through. Connect to your ipod using a double-ended jack (usually supplied with MP3 player). Turn on your audio system and hit the "AM" button twice (might be the menu button - can't remember, but just try 'em all!) to activate the auxiliary. The notation AUX will then appear on your screen, adding to AM, CD, FM1, FM2. Select AUX, turn on your ipod, and get those tunes through the factory system. My MP3 is not an ipod, but I guess they're all similar. |
