I think I may have cheated on my GF

Dear dear FF members.

Last night was my work chrissy party and I have this horrbile feeling I kissed this girl last night.

I told my GF this morning and she is devastated and I am such an *******. I hate myself right now for something I can't confirm happened. Any advice on how to a) not lose my beautiful, lovely GF and b) go into damage control??

I have never felt as horrible as I do now.

Why tell someone you know is likely to remove your testicles that you "may" have kissed someone else?

I wouldn't say anything unless I was sure and I wouldn't get that smashed at a work function anyway.

Damage control: can't think of anything as I've never been in the situation. I guess you can try and play the honesty line and claim that you told her even though your not sure, + appologies + presents + give her a little distance but at the same time don't just let her slip away.

Goodluck but next time either keep it in your pants or keep your mouth shut!

It's not in my charater to do this type of stuff; either getting smashed or cheating on my girlfriend.

I feel like being sick and I can't even begin to imagine how she feels...

After work tell your GF that you have confirmed that you DID NOT kiss her.

Say apparantly she TRIED to kiss you and you backed away at a rapid pace.

You must have been mighty ****ed. No excuse to be sure, but this is why / how you came to kiss your work colleague. Blame the grog, the hectic lead up to chrissy, remind your GF how hard you've been working and the stress you've been under..... which all conspired to make you drink sooo much. You were not yourself, and acted WAY out of character.........

What about your work colleague.... is there any work dramas gunna come out of this ?

honesty....well thats your first mistake. mate its a xmas party whatever gos on in the pub/club/bar stays there it was just a kiss so its not like she will be at your door in nine months. so look just tell your g/f that its your bad and it wont happen again. if that fails there is a sale on at gold mart jewllers that should soften her up any way good luck.

No use screwing your relationship over something so small. Honesty is the best policy but in this case its not.

How was the kiss? was it a sneak away from the rest of the group for a snog, was it dancing and got close and carried away?

There's different levels of a kiss and each level brings a different level of guilt.

Wonder how many marriages/relationships get broken up round this time of year?

My sister used to work at the local sports club where Centrelink head office had there Christmas party each year.. One year a wife came to pick up her husband and was waiting out the front for him, got the sh*&ts went inside to age him, no reply. Security went looking for him and he was copping a BJ off a collegue on the bowling green.. and the sparks flew...

Let your GF know that you do love her, and scknowledge that you did make a mistake, and leave her with a sorry gift.

Don't tell her but don't make contact her for a few days (unless she does with you, then its either very good news or very bad news), then call her and ask if she wants to go out for dinner and rekindle the fire from there. Talk about the times when you both started dating, or your/her childhood.

Remember just give it time, for both yourself and for her to get over it.

what an interesting thread

makes me wonder how many forums people have in fact cheated (and when i say cheat, i mean REALLY cheat) on their partners. I, for one, can admit I have cheated before. A few times. Never twice cheated on the same person, always either admitted it/broke up or got caught/broke up (nothing to be proud of, was in my youth)

Current missus has nothing to worry about. She hangs on waaay to tight lol.

Kissing people on the grog to me isn't cheating. If i did it to my missus i'd be in the deep poo (just how she is). If she kissed some dude and owned up, i'd be annoyed but i wouldnt take it too far. Things happen cob!
