Hello,
Anyone had any leaking issues with their LV Focus? After the heavy rains a few weeks ago I noticed a trickle down the drivers side carpet on the side of the hatch and about 2 litres of water in the wheel well. Very bad musty smell in the car now... really bad. The wheel well doesn't even have a rubber plug that is easy to remove.. the one there is very securely glued in. I found this when I cleaned the boot the morning of the tow bar installation. I can already see what Ford will blame as the reason to why it's leaking.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cheers, Jason |

I read somewhere recently about some LV Focii leaking water into the boot and pretty sure you'll find it's from around the tail lights, some were having them resealed at panel shops and others were doing a DIY fix with silicone. It involves removing the lights, cleaning the mounting area thoroughly and then applying a good coat of silicone to the surface before refitting.

Under the tail lights is a panel join seam that has a small gap in it which seems to allow water into the boot area as well . Take out the tail lights and seal the seam and the edges of the tail light especially where they sit in the hatch vertical channel. It fix my leak.

Read this, and thought what a bummer for those fellas.
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My spare wheel well has about 4 inches of water in it. Thanks for the quick fix. As an '08 model, probably a bit of a push to try for warranty!
