Default Suspension problems

I am wanting to know more about me 2010 falcon futura classic series 2 AU.

last night i noticed when i go over bumps I am getting noises comming form the front end of me car. The noise is like a squeak. even when i bounce the car on front left and right panels the squeak is there.

is this my shockies?
If so what is the average price for shockies through ford.
anyhelp be appreciated.

I would get under the car and spray some lube into the swar bar bushes. That's where I had an annoying squeak from.

I kept lubing them up until I finally got sick enough of it to buy new items.

Until you mentioned it, I even forgot that I ever had that problem.

All the best with it.

It could be that the bushes need some grease. Can you tell where in the suspension the noise is coming from? How many km's are on the car?

226000 km.when i press down on left or front right guard it squeaks and when i go over a bump or when i brake hard it squeaks. hoever front shockies show no sign of oil loss or what ever is in them. and when i use the old bounce trick to test shockeys. the car only bounces once and stops. i am starting to rule shockies out. thinking a grease service will fix it

I get the odd sqeak from the front right as well ... and I am putting it down to swaybar bushes as well ... like GK has mentioned. There;s quite a number of bushes in the front suspension though ... best to get it inspected and see if there is a cracked one that has excess movement.

Grease should stop it ... but you literally need to remove the bush to grease it properly.

At your kays though .... your bushes properly haven't been replaced and they be quite tired by now.

I replaced front inner and outer control arm bushes around the 200,000km ... and boy what a difference they made in handling and braking feel.

You could do it yourself for $20 odd and 15-20 minutes off your time. It's easy, just undo the two 12-13mm bolts one side of the swaybar at a time, let the bracket come off (or help it with a screwdriver) pull off the old D bush, taking careful not of how it came out, insert the new bush with the grease applied as per package instructions, redo up the bracket. Repeat with the second side. Easy peasy!

Give these guys a ring. JC put me onto them, they were most helpful.

Bill is a really good bloke to deal with. The D bushes should be around $20 a pair (or less).

Easy DIY job, and you have to take them out to grease them properly so may as well replace them.
