Default Trim set on ebay...

Hi all,

I was considering purchasing this CLICKME.

Are they reasonable? Dodgy? Worth it?

Cheers

NOTE: These dash kits are not replacement parts for existing dash components. They are made from a self adhesive UV protective synthetic resin material that is fitted over the top of the existing dash. The dash surface should be thoroughly cleaned before installation and free from any Armour All or other additives.

Stand out from the crowd and make your Falcon AU Series 2 look
They are stickers. I wouldn't do it. The fairmont came with brushed alloy look gear surround and I ditched it in favour of the series 1 chrome item.

yep, you may get 6 months out of it then it'll start peeling because there was a minute bit of armour all on it, or you/someone will scratch it and it start to lift. just not worth it to he honest

Has anyone actually seen these in real life. Because if you have, you would know that these aren't just cheap crap stickers.
I have the woodgrain one in my wifes AU which has been in there for the past 3 years and there is no peeling yet.
It is supplied with a small bottle of turps / alcohol to clean the surface before hand and if memory serves, uses one of the 3M sticky adhesives, which is very strong.
This is a 5 piece set which was the lesser of the 2 kits, but the main pieces are there. The other kits had about 11 pieces but it was smaller pieces like ash tray cover and a piece either side. One piece where the clock is etc.
I have dealt with this company on a couple of occasions and am very happy with them.
You will need to use furnisher cleaner like Mr Sheen etc to clean it as armour all get underneath it, yes it will peel, as it is designed to get under sticky things to clean.

Hey mate, how do you find the colour match of the woodgrain compared to factory stuff?

I'm putting a Fairlane interior in, and seriously cannot be stuffed doing the dash, so I figure this'll be a nice way to tie the pov pack dash in with the Fairlane woodgrain door trims etc.

They listed another one, but ouch.. I only just noticed how much they're expecting to post it. I just can't spend that much on an interior improvement right now. :(

I couldn't resist the woodgrain replacement console for the AU1. Hope it fits better than the original!
