Hi
Our au wagon will sometimes not rev behond 2k when on gas, its fine on petrol. Its an AU1 factory duel fuel. Any ideas? |

Mixture too lean? Blocked Cat? Collapsed muffler? Converter tarred up? There's 4 ideas, no way I could know which one is right, but perhaps the mixture and converter issues can be sorted out/diagnosed (by a mechanic) more quickly then the exhaust ones.

i would of straight away said cat, but then he says its fine on petrol. so you would think it has to be gas related

there is a filter in the gas and if it is blocked it will limit reves just like on petrol
|

The stepper motor which controls how much gas entering the mixer ring is possibly seized in an almost closed position. Remove it, force it open then refit but don't plug it in, then take it for a run.

I suspect the converter getting gummy (although its only a few months old) but if you find a proper diagnosis i'd be interested to hear it. |

Sounds like it may be stuck in limp home mode everytime it gets switched on gas...

It only started doing it after it had a hard time starting on gas.
It has not been driven for a while, taking it to a specialist soon... |
