Default New exhaust sort of working

Today I got a new exhaust fitted from the cat back making it 2.5 straight through, The car sounds awesome it's got a little burble at idle and doesn’t have a hit of drone with doing 100km/h.

I got home this arvo excited about my new exhaust. A few friends of mine dropped over to hear it, so I fired it up only to find that it is rubbing somewhere on the body of the car making the car rattle. When i picked it up it was fine so it must have moved when i was driving home.

I will take it back tomorrow and get them to fix it, I hop it doesn’t keep falling out of place. Would be a pain in the butt if I had to keep going back all the time.

Well that is my rant for the day

Alpine

It won't fall off, just needs a bit of rubber jammed in the rear mount, mine did this too. Best to get your ECU reset by FOrd, untill you do you wont get any real power benefit.

Can I do this at home? And just follow the tutorial on aufalcon.com, or is it something that ford has to do

Cheers

don't mean to steal your thread alpineau,

my dad was having problems with his new 2.5" exhaust aswell. just got it installed around 2 weeks now, and ever since it sounds like its struggling. everytime he accelerates from a stand still or in neutral, the exhaust lets off like a little popping sort of a noise.

i told him that it wood probably wear out as the exhaust sets in, but its not stopping. i would onli imagine this is the case as it sounds like the pipes are not big enough and the exhaust is struggling.

opinions fellas?

This isn't necessary. If you can't feel an immediate difference since changing the exhaust then you have probably lost your sense of feeling.
