What are the size of the oil sump plug, and transmission plug washer sizes on the AU? I need to do an oil change soon. Cheers, |

Sorry couldn't tell ya , although someone on here might be able to , although if you remove the originals - just get some brass washers from any hydraulic hose company or most car part places , best off with a brass washer though imo . see what others here say too ;)

Why not use the same ones, I do and I've never had a problem, I just changed the oil last weekend and no leeking.

Hi Guys,
It appears as though the Ford sumps don't require a washer. I did an oil change today and on close inspection, the factory sump have a built in hard rubber washer. This was my first DIY service on a Ford, and I was very surprised at how simple it is. I didn't even need to use a jack. The parts are so cheap too. Tomorrow I'll do a transmission flush to complete the job. Any tips with the transmission? Cheers, |
