Default Transport and fitting if three piece hard lid

Hi all,
Just got a cracking deal on a three piece hard lid and sports bar for the ute, but have a couple of questions?

First up - I need to travel three hours to pick it up, and was wondering how people move them, ie can the top sit in the tub? (on an angle) or do they need to be fitted? can I fit the main middle section and leave the roll bar mounting for when I get home? how hard is it to do this - as I am picking up from someones private residence I can't do too much fitting etc

Second Question is - anyone have a fitting instructions for these?

Cheers
Matt
