V6 Oil Filter: Ryco Z38 or Valvoline V067

I've used the Ryco Z62 for the 1600 but haven't come across the problem you're having, it's been a while since it was on the road though. I only learnt recently that the new filters don't fit and am unsure about which one to use.

I'm not sure what's going on with your oil capacity, do you have a modified sump?

Cheers

Jamie

I've just checked the online Ryco catalogue and, interestingly, they no longer list any oil filter for the 1600. I tried looking under Escort and Cortina and found reference to a R2220P for '68 to '71 models. Not sure if this one would be better.

I checked the V6 listing and also noticed that there was a specific note saying not to use a Z9, only use Z38. I had heard that a Z9 could be used for the V6 without a problem.
