Those dogs have very high pain tolerances. Probably too high for their own good really.

Anyone with any knowledge about dogs would clearly see it's NOT a pitbull, it's bull terrier, this type of small minded comment and mistaken identity is what adds to the pitbulls mostly undeserved bad name.
There are no bad dogs, only bad owners, have a look at this and see if im right:

I have two large dogs, a pitbull and a bullmastiff cross ridgeback, neither have bitten a person in their combined 11 years of age.

Porcupines quills naturally fall out, so I doubt the little bugger even felt the attack at all (although it'll have a badarse "punk" look about it now!)

Their quills are barbed, so once they puncture your flesh, they're stuck! Think of them as fish hooks :

I'd like to add here at this time I agree that the raising of a dog is crutial to its temprement.... Like humans, we can be brought up with high morals and be cared for in a loving family, dogs are a part of that family...But remember if we are prevoked we retaliate.

Why would a dog be any diffrent....May that damn porcupine P****ed on the the dog....!!!!!

We had an Akita Inu ( Japanese Utility , about the same size as a Malamute ) for 7 years... Never had a mean bone in its body... Until somebody kicked him.. He stood his gound and growled and proteced his turf.. ( They are very loyal ) The next day we had the police at our house saying we had a wild wolf... Go Figure ???

obviously the dog didn't mind the pain if it's gone back that many times....probably just ****ed him off even more. I'm tipping the dog got him in the end!
