Talking Black 06 Fiesta Zetec

Hey all,

Daryl here from the Northern Territory... just thought I'd drop a line to say I'm expecting delivery of my new fez any week now and I was just wondering what you guys thought were essential mods...

cheers

Congrats on your purchase.

With mods the Zetec already has a awesome suspension setup but lacks in the power department. Id go for a cat-back and drop-in panel filter as a 1st step.

Well I went and saw them last month, and what we were going to do was get an 07 build but I got a call from them saying they had an october 06 build on a boat which nobody had claimed. So if you consider that then about roughly 2 months, if I recieve it at the end of december like they reckon

I have to go out my driveway on an angle, or the front spoiler-thing (WQ Zetec, stock) scrapes. Not overly steep, just doesn't like the angle. No hassles over speedbumps tho.

so do you have any plans for yours?

No major plans really. Getting free scuffies/mats/slimline plates & now a free spoiler due to the wait, so it should look great. Might get some tint down the track but wanted to try it without first, as you cant really take it off once its done :-)
How about you?

I need tint done badly, it's getting hot here in Brisbane and the Fez has quite a large area of glass, I find it gets pretty hot inside sitting in traffic every morning on the way to work..........I keep holding off though, I'm caught in 2 minds whether to spend any more money on the Zetec or wait till next year for the XR4, next year seems a long way off though when ya cooking!!

Haha, nah no denial here, wouldnt buy one cos I reckon they will be $26,990 easy & couldnt justify that amount of money personally. Would love to see it actually but just dont see how they will manage it when it takes them 6 months to get an XR5 delivered & bloody 2mths for a Zetec!!! Supply will be the main problem & price competitiveness...but stranger things have happened ;-)
