Default AU Headlamps

Fairly new here and not sure how to navigate so dont know if this has already been asked.

Just after some modified headlamps for an AUII. Looking for something like the XR "styled" headlamps i've seen with those chromeish cut outs over around the bulbs but would prefer a black color.

Does anyone know where these would be available from or can i remove the plastic from a spare set of headlamps and perform this myself?

Also wondering if AU's commonly have diff clunks etc.? and is there a stronger diff that fits pretty much straight into the drive line?

many thanks

I think Bonza Dan may be talking off the T3 lights. Standard lights with a black bevel. For that I would PM "The Dok". He owns and runs a business called the headlight hospital. Good bloke and can help you out.

thanks guys.

although the ones i have seen around that i was talking about are standard au headlamps (forte etc) with a cut out around the globes underneath the plastic covers. Chrome/silver ones can be found on ebay but i'm after a blackish one to match the black tailights i have.

More this sort of style. but prefferably not silver.

also, do the Tickford instrument clusters on ebay fit into standard auII dashes?

I used to have those headlights ... they adjusted crap ... the beam was awful ... and highbeams pointed everywhere but where you wanted them ... and didn't line up either.

Reflectors were also crap and I burnt holes through them too. BAD headlights ... they went into the bin.

If ou have the actual Tickford Instrument cluster ... the face will fit yes .... but if you have a base model cluster ... the face with not line up at all ... you need the actual gauge to be there for the face to fit it.
