Default AU Kits in Brisbane

Just wondering if any of you brisi folk (or anywhere else for that matter), know where i can get my hands on a kit for my AUII forte. Looking for something along the lines of TS50, and of course looking to not spend lucrative amounts of money?

And also if anyone knows of a fairly strong diff to put in an AU?

Cheers!
Dan

Welcome Dan,

I've recently gone through the same exercise (front bar) and as well as the good looking and well priced AWC stuff you might also have a look at

http://www.canberracarstyling.com.au/
http://www.carmate.com/
http://www.ssv.com.au/

It just struck me that our newest sponsor "coyote" in the "On The Spot Paint Repairs" forum may have some insights as well.

Hope that helps a bit... good luck with it.

ssv are really over priced as well compared to awc...probably cause if they buy from awc they put their own markup on the product tho

most fibreglass kits aren't that good quality, mine was from awc and i don't reckon it was all that crash hot..
Its still better than no kit though.

If I was to do my car over again... I'd go:

* Tickford Front Lip
* Tickford Side Skirts
* HO Rear Bar

Have some twin chrome dumpers behind the bumper. No spoiler, or have a little lip spoiler. Lots of dumpage, big wheels. Pure class.

I like that HO Rear bar... It's kinda similar to the T1/T2 Rear Bar.

Cheers

what he said. Most tyre places will have your wheels couriered to them. I had a buckle taken out of one of my 19's and they did a good job. It balanced up ok.

Carmate have the xr50 front bare for $429.95 and AWC have it for $550.

maybe you should do some research mate.

sorry i read what a wrote and its not how i meant.

i mean that theres others out there that are cheaper than AWC.

for me, cuz im in brisbane, if i bought through carmate, i get a cheaper kit, and its local.

I am still new to all this stuff with bodykit's even now I just got one fitted. The only thing I was aware of when looking at kits was to make sure that it dose not have pin holes in the fiber glass when painted otherwise it will look crap, Carmate was cheaper then awc even for me but I was just a little worried after seeing the kit they sent to my mate. After the panel beater had finished painting and fitting the kit it looked really good. Will see if i can find a photo

I think that if you buy and get it fitted at Carmate it should turn out the same quality as any other place as most flaws can be fixed before painting

Cheers
