Default changing light globe on auto gear selector

hi everyone, i'm a newbie here, just wondering how much of a pain in the butt it is to change the light globe that lights up to tell you what gear the auto is in? the car is a AU3 SR..

do i have to pull much of the console a part? hopefully it is a 30 second job..

thanks
-tim

how far are you from newcastle, nsw :

just kidding, it might have to wait until the weekend though. i'm guessing it will help to fix it in day light, not interior light :hihi:

i'll just pull it apart, find out what the globe is, buy one and put it back together.. hopefully i can drive with the car in bits

You can do it the lazy way too. Keep the gear knob on, pull it back to '1' and manouvre the console around pulling pack on an angle. Then again, 2 mins to pull the knob off and back on.

Make sure when you pull back the console you pull it up and back (towards the top of the rear window). Ive actually seen someone wrestle with one of these for about 15 mins before i stopped laughing long enough to tell him.
