Yes, but you only get one through the lucky dip system.

You need to go to a perfomance shop - someone like G&D or bluepower. They would be $1200 plus, I reckon, and would drown your car in fuel. The AUs have 65mm TB standard. Most twin setps have twin 45 or 50mm. The area is similar:
65mm TB, area of opening = 33.2 Sq cm.
2 x 50mm, area = 2 X 19.6 = 39.2 Sq cm
2 x 45mm, area = 2 x 15.9 = 31.8 sq cm.

So no real benefit here. You could go 70mm TB, but these have not proved effective on a NA I6 (perhaps with edit, they may be, but not on their own). Edit/Flash tune = $1600 approx

Mark @ ITS Performance in Campbelltown NSW can hook you up a twin throttle body setup.

Mick's Metalcraft @ Villawood can also fabricate a manifold for you.

Unless you have some big mods it's prob not worth your time.

You'll do right enough by picking a cam, doing some headwork and your exhaust if you're not looking to go the forced induction route.

Sorry guys a lill off the topic.

I was looking at just single throttle bodys. The stand 65 TB and then u can pick up a 70 or 75mm TB on a few places on the net. Apprntly they bypass the throttle senses and allow u to continue accelerating.

Is this bull*****? Is there any real benefits of changing the throttle body with extractors and a zorst?? Or should ujsut wait for forced induction?

Ford only went to the 70mm TB on the 220kw engines as another sales point, not for performance IMO. 65mm TB's flow 600cfm which is more than enough for 280kw, this has also been proven many times over by the V8 guys in the US too.

My mate rigged up a twin throt set up by blanking off where the normal one is & setting 2 up on the wider side he said it maybe gave him a touch more at the very top end & made it very touchy but that's about it really.

the old e49 chargers at their best made 302 with triple webers, surely with individual throtle bodies and a decent cam the falc engine wouldnt be far of it with some good tuning??

Yes as in touchy or responsive as when you crack the accelerator you're getting twice the opening

the more throttles, the better the throttle response.

the required cfm for any HP engine can be achieved with most large bore TBs

would i be right in assuming that say 2 60mm throttle bodies would be more responsive than a single 100mm throttle body?

ive got a twin throttle setup on my ba and bellow 3000rpm you lose some power (mainly due to the manifold being gutted and not running the bbm - still power loss running single) but after 3000rpm hang on. 3000rpm it hits you in the back and does again at 4000rpm.
Jays RPD did my manifold and im sure they can do more. they also can do an ITB setup iirc its 6 45mm individual throttle bodies similar to the 20v 4age motor.

it did definately pick up power up top and thats with an unopened motor.
