Default i just discovered something ....

You peeps floating around the forum probably already knew this...
but if you have the stereo on volume 1 (softest setting), its pretty quiet when your'e stationary ...but when you start driving it gets a tad louder to compensate for road noise! ...how cool is it! ....I thought it was cool anyway ..

I noticed this in a Hire Holden Astra
I figured it was the better reception on that stretch of road, where it gets above 65kmh

That's the "active volume control" at work right there. It's on page 47 on my manual, it says something about the "avc".

It's probably the first thing that I turned off the day I got the car. That and the anti-destortion (CLIP) reduction are both off on mine.. Very annoying features!

Yeah, they're amusing for the first 30 seconds or so...

I use the Clipping setting but I toned down the "agressiveness" of the avc to 1, bit more subtle when stopping at lights etc.

When I picked up my Fez the bass was at -4 and the treble was at +5... no wonder I thought the speakers where shizen, alsmost put me off the car, but after playing with the settings found that +1-2 bass and 0 on treble is good balance and the speakers can handle upto 26 on most tracks before clipping..

still needs a sub tho... ;)
