A mate of mine has a rear disc set-up for sale. Don't know too much about his set-up but usually they are based on the standard axle and the hubs are modified with sierra calipers. The atlas is a wider diff found in V6 Capris. Rally boys used to use "baby" atlases, which are shorter, but they are very rare.
With any rear disc set-up you have to use a brake proportioning valve or run a brake bias set-up as well. Otherwise the rear brakes lock up before the fronts do an your rear-end will overtake your front. I've found you don't really need a rear disc set-up unless you are pumping out serious horses and it also makes your car unroadworthy for street use. |
