I'm 21 Used to smoke Winni Blues Drink XXXX Gold and Rum Love the thongs (Double Pluggers only. For safety) No to Flanno's I love a good meat pie Had a mullet age 5, not anymore Listen to AC-DC daily. Love Guns N Roses, and Bon Jovi Rocks Mates call me Dazza, But I don't know a Shazza Love Cricket Footy and V8's

I'd considered myself a bogan
used to have a homemade front spoiler on the falcon, took it off now drive around in an XC with dual 3inch no mufflers hack doughies everywhere, do burnouts on public roads, firmly believe that speed signs are merely suggestive. drink XXXX and bundy, usually swopping during the night only got two kinds of shoes, thongs or steel caps get upset when pubs wont let me in with the wife beater on make homebrew, beer and rum always at the local speedway events, burnout comps with beer in hand have mates called davo and robbo and cant stand environmentalists, hippies, homo's or new age guys bogan and proud of it..... flame on! |

Daylesford was the biggest bogan town in the history of the world... I laughed when I read the quiz... especially in the 80's l0l Now it'ss the gay mecca! Becareful of what you "don't" wish for. |

I'm wearing mocassins at the moment. I guess that on it's own makes me a bogan!
On the other hand, I don't own a flannie or a blue singlet. I do own a pair of steel caps and a pair of thongs. I've got short tidy hair (I don't use gel or any of that crap). I haven't shaved in about a fortnight (so many better things to do - like exam study) I drive an EA. Enough said. I drink (mostly beer and Bundy) but am a non-smoker. I guess I am a partial bogan.

I'm un-employed (Hopefully not for to much longer, almost 2 years has been long enough lol), I drive a VL SL 5 speed (Non sh**er though) and I wear thongs.
Can't get much more bogan then that.

I think our fridge count is up to 3 out the back and our car count has dropped from 6 to 4 with 2 out of the three people here who actually drive. Plus I seem to find myself wearing blue jeans/black tshirt combos all the time, at least when my camo pants are in the wash. So despite my taste in European cars now, I have some distinctive Bogan roots.

My girlfriend and I have been having this talk for a few weeks now. She is originally from country QLD but now lives in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney, while I was born and still live in Western Sydney. She is a true bogan at heart and could easily turn back into a bogan but does not have any bogan tendancies at all. While I on the other hand, I love my footy, love the V8s but can dine at a fancy resturant, drink scotch, coronas, or wine, will only shop on Oxford St in Paddington (so no flannies here), styles of music I listen to are house, electro, breaks and underground dance.
It's a tough one but we came to the conclusion that I have bogan tendancies, but am not a bogan, while my girlfriend was born a bogan with no bogan tendancies. |

am i a bogan? yes and no
i drive an EA and an XD (are there 2 more cars that define bogan? except an XF) love a jim beam and hate nothing more than work. except early mornings... hate beer, and wine wear the baggy jeans and the odd choppers shirt West coast choppers and OCC hate footy, like cricket, love supercars.. i have mates called matho, robbo, jamzy dicko, and call the old man wayne-o havent had a haircut in ages, yeah got a bit of bogan i guess, in my own special way...

A Bogan....
It depends on whether or not the term "bogan" still applies, , as the typical bogan disappeared in the 80's along with drive ins, panelvans, etc etc. I would definatley say i WAS a Bogan in the 80's. I had a mullett, a monaro for while, listen to AC/DC. But in Nth Qld in the 80's, you were either a BOGAN, a FAG or in the ARMY. So take your pick ! AC/DC |

Dont cosider myself a bogan (I consider myself a down to earth bloke)
When i was about 15 or 16 i did go the flannel shirt & ripples stage & the cropped hair on top & longer hair at the back. (so I gave boganism a crack) But happy to have moved on. Im just off to grab a Late hehe.
