Yep - there's 2 big bumps on one particular road I use regularly, and they usually bump the car quite a bit, but today no bumps or anything. The only thing I did in addition to fitting the springs was ensuring that the spring tails pointed the right way this time, and greased up the pivot bolts etc - not sure if that may have made a difference too. If it wasn't for the crap panel and paint work, my car would look quite good now!

I've got pedders superlows on mine. They made the ride alot harsher as the springs are ALOT firmer than standard. It handles flatter with less body roll, but I wouldn't exactly say it handles better. I think to see the benefits of the springs I need some proper struts (prefferably adjustable koni or bilstein) to match.

Even though I checked the compression and reboud of the monroe shockers before fitting the new springs, I think they're just struggling to keep up with the SL spring rates. One things for sure, it's definately made it look better, especially combined with the BA XR 18" rims!

Posted this in the AU showroom thread but thought I may as well post it here too, even if only to catch Bucky's post count!

I think Cobra hit the nail on the head.. It's not the spring rate that makes it softer just the incorrect correct travel in the shocks.. Mine was still 'squishy' with the original shocks, until I fitted the Koni's on the front (on the softest seting too) .. Another thing is the profile of the tyre, when I had the 19*35 on the front the ride was almost too harsh, abit better on the 18" 40 series though.. People complained about the rigidity at first and I got used to it until I changed back to the 18's, it rides soo much better now

It is always a "knowledge gaining" exercise reading your posts Tibbo. No BS & straight to the point with info that makes sense. Keep up the good work.

OK, here are 2 quick pics taken with a mate's camera phone - not the best quality, but I think you can see how low it is at the back - very similar to 012s T1.

Almost JC. The rear on my TS50 is about 15mm off the top of the rim itself, not the tyre. The front is a little higher than in that pic ATM. I changed to SL in fronts as the custom springs I had were too low (15mm lower than SSL). Looks much better now JC.
