Took the Zee to the local dealer today to fix two warranty issues.
Carpet had crept down from the drivers side console revealing metal. And a directional vent had fallen from inside the dash on to the passenger side footwell. Both easy fixes. But when I picked the car up they asked if I had felt a resistance in the steering. I have, but really on reverse turning. They say it needs a new steering shaft. Nice pick up by the dealer. |

Dropped the Zee in this morning for its replacement shaft.
Had a chat with the service manager who pointed to a blue Fiesta and said its got the same problem. Though they still had some checks to carry out before confirmation. He reckons they "may have a problem" I said I hadn't heard anything about it n the forums and he said Ford like to keep these things very quiet. So, I suggest all WT owners have a good feel of the steering. Particularly when in reverse, turning on an uneven surface. If you feel/hear a resistance or a knocking, pay a visit to your friendly warranty Ford dealer. |

I have heard/felt a slight rattle recently when turning right in the Mrs Fiesta. Might have to get it sussed out.
