So i gather that would be the highest score that an AFL team has scored?
Pretty sure Geelong had it last, 219 from memory. |

I think Geelong has the record
IIRC they got 237 or something against Brisbane Bears in the early 90's I can't remember the last time a team scored 200 - I'm guessing maybe Essendon in 2000 when they smashed everybody

Highest VFL/AFL score was 239, by Geelong against Brisbane Bears in 1992.

I don't think I've seen a 200 plus score ever. I saw St. Kilda score 196 in 2004 but that's about it...

Wasn't a because of Darren Gasper being dropped, and players not being happy about it?

yeah its good team management to forcibly make Gasper retire while a dead weight like Richardson is kept around well and truely past his used by date.
Oh and to the people bagging the Eagles, if you think for 1 second that whichever team you happen to barrack for DOESN'T have some kind of drug problem then you're on ketamin yourselves. At least cousins doesn't go around beating people up coz he didn't get his way. |

Nobody complains about Koutoufides, despite the fact that for 5 years he earned 1 million dollars (for each year) and spent 3 of them not playing. He has played only a handful of games where he as actually won a game for Carlton. Richardson on the other hand has led Richmond to many victories on top of good performances. It is not his fault that the Richmond staff are idiots who cannot teach the team to pass above his head, allowing him to take an overhead mark. Even contested, Richo will generally beat his opponent one-on-one. Sure, his goalkicking isn't the best, but who else will kick goals for them? Ray Hall? At least Richo represents the Richmond Football Club with pride. If I was him, I would have walked out on that club years ago and gone to a place where a player of his caliber is treated and managed properly. Richo has shown greater loyalty to Richmond than the supporters and the club have shown him. Secondly, I am a Geelong supporter and although it's a great win, I am not reading into it too much. We've beaten three teams so far... Richmond, Melbourne and Carlton...16th, 15th and 14th respectively. Doesn't say much now? Means that come finals time, we'll be on the receiving end of a belting. I travelled from Melbourne to Geelong with some friends last week to see Geelong play the Kangas. On a par for ****weakness with the match in 2000 against St Kilda. Richmond will live on. One day their recruits will actually lift. Hawthorn's have, magnificently. |

I bet Terry Wallace probably thinks he should of thought more about the offer from the Hawks a few years back..
He's not a bad bloke Terry I worked at his house a few years back, but there seems to be big dramas down at Tiger land and it could mean big changes towards the end of the season. Pies doing ok though, only thing is I keep tipping against them when they win! |

rodderz, please keep tipping against them ![]() Pies are doing great atm, got alot of young blood playing well who seem to be fitting in nicely, if only we could've kicked straighter in our last 2 games, 12-23 & 11-20, our percentage would be better but aslong as we keep winning thats the main thing :hihi: |
