Has anyone had dealings with the above? How sucessful has the fix been? If it worked, how long has your fix lasted? Any comments appreciated, thanks. |

Had mine repaired there, has been perfect since, posted it to him, he was able to repair the LCD and send it back the next day, was a nice easy transaction.

Same here, as has been said. Do a search, plenty of AU owners have had this problem & posted their comments (all positive IIRC), mines been going strong for over 2 years now.

I'm convinced, will get it done ASAP. I'm in Victoria, so it's just a matter of ringing up and driving down!

Two years and going strong here too. The guy even sent me a series 2 one for my series 1 which was impossible to see during the day when it was good.

I worked with an Egyptian woman a few years ago. When she came to Australia she was horrified that we didn't (don't) use bidets. To her, using toilet paper was absolutely disgusting and I agree that it is pretty ordinary compared to a bidet. When she and her husband bought a house they had one fitted as a priority. She was (and probably still is) very reluctant to shake hands given that she knows where our hands have been and why they smell, lol. |

Lol. Granted you may be right, and it is a deliberately loaded comment, but you have never lived (or probably visited) Guildford, Granville, or Auburn? But back to the matter at hand. I have to send my CCu to vic :S |

Went to primary and high school with all manner of exotic creatures, Finns, Poms, Slavs, Poles etc. I was multicultural before it was invented ;) I guess I've been around long enough, and exposed to enough to know that the vast bulk of people (of any variety) want what I do... enough food on the table, a roof over my head, good health and an education for my kids. You must work night shift and only drive when its dark?? Mine was impossible to see during the day( noted it was summer time) You dont realy notice color difference as its sepperate up high on the dash but it's always good to keep the original if you can. |

Here is what the difference is. I must admit the S2/3 display are easier to see but you can still see the S1 display |

I went and saw him today and was in and out in half an hour.
He did an excellent job (CC fits back in the dash perfectly, no rattles), and the display is 100%. $85 for 20 minute fix vs $600 for Fords BS 'just chuck in a new one' solution. No contest. This blokes awesome. |
