Can anyone explain why the rear demister will only operate when the headlights are switched on???
After trying to operate the rear demister unsucessully a few times in early mornings, this morning i had to drive with full headlights and found that the rear demister would finally turn on....... is this some sort of fail safe operation by Ford???

Should work as long as the engine is running and not only when lights are on. Get your dealer to check this out.

Mine works fine (WS model). Obviously a dodgy wiring job from Ford in Thailand. Take it back: don't pay for a loan car either: put your foot down.
