Ok, I had heard CRD was in talks. I agree email them the best bet, I know the FoST is compatible with US.

The Cobb tunes DO NOT work on our Fiestas. The link you posted is for the Focus ST, I think you've probably posted in the wrong thread.

Source - I bought a Cobb AP from Mountune USA (Yes they did give me a refund after they realised their mistake in telling me it would work)

The picture may be a Focus but the description below the image does mention the Fiesta ST so I thought our ST's were compatible with the Accessport.

Focus ST is the same in terms of ECU globally but Fiesta ST is different between Euro and American cars. Even some parts allegedly won't work, such as exhausts, as apparently the US spec cars are slightly longer than ours.

Pity, but there are plenty of great European tuning options. Unfortunately, I started with Mountune, so I'm kinda stuck with them and their pathetically incompetent ways, as I don't want to start again...

As far as the link goes, here's a quote;
"COBB Tuning has designed a device to unlock suppressed performance and efficiency of the award winning Ford Fiesta ST and its bigger brother the Focus ST with the powerful COBB AccessPORT."

So they appear to be saying the FiST is inclusive of their product.
Misleading advertising at worst.

Remember that from a Yank's point of view, the world stretches only from LA to NY. Nothing else exists, so in theory their website is correct...

So if you were going to start again with a tuning option who would you use?

Having seen what a lot of the Poms have done via the UK forum, I'd love to try Finsport. Based on previous experience - and lots of similar feedback - I'd not trust Pumaspeed. Revo produces big numbers, but I'd wonder at what expense to drivability. Finsport has had some rave reviews from owners, so I'd be keen to check that out...

I received a reply see below:

"Unfortunately the Cobb AP wont work on the ADM Fiesta ST.

The is another solution to your tuning needs though as we are able to directly re flash the factory ECU and custom tune it here.

Cost of doing so would be $1550.00 with some great results so far."

Oh well there goes that idea. My ST is under warranty so I wont be doing anything until it's finished. The Bluefin is looking more promising now but I really would prefer the Cobb.

The roll restrictor has made a difference but I haven't really notice an increase in vibration that some folks were talking about.

It's all good.

Hi mate. Any updates on the Bluefin and has it made any improvements?

Torque in 3,4,5 and 6 is much more usable, no down changing needed to overtake on the highway. Putting power down in a corner is now impossible while traction control is on because it has a fit and cuts too much throttle. Need some 235s...

What've I done lately?

Well, driven it for a start! After having been away for most of the last month for work, I've enjoyed getting 'back in the groove' with a good car.

Also... I've been unbelievably tempted by those bastids at Mountune over MR230 upgrade. All I need is downpipe and catback...

Team Dynamics Pro Race 3's (have added to my sig).

With such open wheels I'm really going to need to paint my calipers now

The country roads around where i was were not brilliant (alot like wash boards), there had also been rain in parts which the Fiesta would not have made it through, so i stuck to the tarmac/highway stuff and let the ranger take over the dirt washboard stuff, but over the orange dirt roads, smooth as and stable. Didnt worry it at 80kmh. In saying that the dirt roads i took were smoother than Sydney's roads..

The experience was amazing... The fiesta did come across most animals out there. Roo's, Emu's, Cattle, Sheep, Goats.

May I ask where you purchased them from? I saw them online and they were quite expensive. I'm in Melbourne Victoria.

Get on facebook fiesta/focus st groups and scour ebay and gumtree for 4x108 wheels

Got these from someone on a facebook group. I've never bought a set of wheels new.

Cheers.
Though we are in country Vic, I've never taken the Z down what I would call country roads.
Mainly tarmac highways and town roads. Though we did do the a Great Ocean Road not long after delivery.
Good to know it can take the challenge of secondary/dirt roads.

It was certainly impressive when i took it to country Victoria late last year. Comfortable, quiet, didnt drink, and handling was super fun!

While i was mainly on dead straight roads with no end in sight sitting at about 120kmh i often had to really get into it to get around slower motorists (caravans, leaners etc) which it handled pretty well. Although just a bit more grunt would have been good.

Ill add when you start sitting at 120kmh and endlessly overtaking i saw pretty average fuel economy numbers... 6.7L/100kms. When on the way home i was a bit more relaxed sitting at 110kmh and less overtaking it gave me 5.8L/100kms.

What have I done lately? Stuck the car on a truck to Melbourne, driven around Tassie, driven in snow on Mount Wellington in Hobart, run out of brakes (Wilwood pads don't last, so this serves as a warning for those who've just fitted them!) in Tassie, driven back from Melbourne... and cleaned it today. Twice. And it's still covered in a layer of filth.

Tassie is heaven for a motoring enthusiast.

And the speeding fines/points penalty are lenient compared to Victoria.
