i've been thinking, what about down at the port (Bayside) there are heaps of quiet, well lit roads that would have industrial back drops (cranes, factories etc.) I know it's not quite what we're looking for but it's better then nothing. Failing that there are a few fully lit carparks on the UQ campus (st. Lucia) plus we could get some with the big moodlit sandstone building in the background.

How about sunday the 14th of August??? That gives people plenty of time to arrange/cancel other less important commitments.

Let's get some of the XR4 there too. Is anyone registered on the XR4 forums, be great to get a good mix of cars. So far we have a WS CL that's been pimped out, my sexy 3-Door Zetec with the Ford 17" alloys and Tenilles hoon auto 5-Door in Vision. Good mix so far! Let's get some WP/WQ models peeps!

So I've decided that the port is to far out of bris vegas (especially for those of oyu coming from woomba) And I know that there are a few multistory carparks at UQ that will be perfect for the photos. SO, here's what I am suggesting.

Meet at the bottom of Mt. Cootha at around 3:30pm, have a spirited drive up/down cootha. Go for a cruise through the city/valley to see who's out and about.

Head to UQ (St. Lucia) just before dark so we can make use of the sunset to get some dramatic lighting.

After photo's cruise somewhere for a bite then possibly to the port if anyone else is keen.

what does everyone think??? Also FI.ES.TA are you coming along with your crazy camera skills???

i would have loved to attend but it looks like a taxi liked the side of my car more than i did,,,,,, my 2004 burnt orange zetec is no longer with me,,yes sad day...now i have to get another car,,maybe a 2006 wq will do

I have asked the XR4 guys, nobody around on Sunday unfortunately, I thought it was 3:30, or maybe look at a bit later like 4 to get closer to dusk!

Well with no XR models there we won't be outgunned in a line haha! The five of us it is then. Would have loved to have some more WP/WQ models, still a cracking good car and a great drive. Four MK7 and a MK6. Should still be fun. Say three thirtyish to four then :-)

Ok, I have Andrew from the XR4 forums coming. But with this very good warning........Venue is definitely a good thing - start at Milton, end up at Port of Brisbane/bayside somewhere. HOWEVER...big disclaimer, I wouldn't be running Mt Coot-tha too enthusiastically on a Sunday arvo. I've noticed that this is a particularly good spot for speed cameras/unmarked cars, especially on the weekend...I used to go up there fairly often but now only do it occasionally and with extreme caution. Speed limit is only 50km/h nowadays which is really frustrating. My recommendation would be to do the run backwards from the Bardon side...

True true... guess we'll just play it by ear and obviously keep it safe and legal That's the best thing about the fez, you don't have to go fast to have fun!!!

I'll be spending the best part of my friday night with the polish and buffer
