Your parents must be proud....

What does "legal tyre legalness" mean?

I know it's the internet but surely you can do better than that?

Ditto - it took me too long to work out the question, and by that time, I forgot what it was about.

Try the usual suspects - OzzieTyres, Tempe, even Bob Jane etc. Or you could even try Injeckt'd in Canberra - I believe they will deliver anywhere at very good prices.

as far as tyre "legalness" goes, as long as the tyres you get have an equal or better load rating than the standard tyres then you can't be defected. keep in mind that you need at least a permit for them, your best bet is to find out state and local regulations as you may also need an engineer's certificate, esp for rolling the guards. as far as pressure goes that's entirely up to you, although whoever sells you the wheels and tyres will probably recommend a pressure to run in them...oh by the way the load rating is the last 2 numbers of the tyre eg. 205/65 R15 94H for a standard au forte 15" wheel...94 being the load rating, H being the speed rating

to run 20s you need 30 profile tyres on the front as it has to clear the upper ball joint (nankang 225/30 85 reinforced load rating(bob jane said its legal).. cost $320 from bob jane .. or a 225/35 will fit i believe but the load ratings are all wrong i believe..
falken tyres just released a new range of low profile tyres for big rims. and they are cheap too

my 20s with nankang NS2 225/30/R20s on the front and kumho ecsta 245/35/R20 on the rear cost $3150 add another 150 for the 30 profiles all around if you dont want your speedo to be out by 5 kays
