Default 2011-2014 Fiesta (and others) automatic class action

http://www.news.com.au/technology/in...fd46b32161d389

Anyone taking action?
I think that there is enough dissatisfaction with the auto to have success.

Did you see that if you win the lawyers commission is up to 40%!! Sounds like there is only 1 real winner in this!!

There's always only one winner in legal disputes.
I did read on the focus forum that a guy who paid 29K for his car was offered only 12k trade in after less than two years.
Now he reckons it's because the dealers know of the ongoing issues due to their own service department records. Not a bad theory.
So if the lawyers can win a full refund, the 40% is still a positive win.

Tragedy really our 12 fiesta is a great car but the transmission is garbage nice when good but we have had in 5 times in 45000 for new clutches and software upgrades.
And now the resale value is destroyed.
5 year transmission warranty for us runs out in January 2017 and what was going to be a 10 year ownership will be 5 year as it will have to go when warranty runs out on the gearbox.
I think we will join this action as even a 2k result to us would offset lousy resale.

We have a 2012 WT Fiesta and a 2014 WZ ST but they're both manuals so I don't think they'd be affected

No problem with manuals, only the auto.
