Hi guys,
I've been thinking lately of getting my N/A XR6 tuned however it has done a substantial amount of K's; 170. The car is still in great condition and still has some grunt minus the rear diff bush knock, lol. I was wondering whether it was worth getting it tuned or wait a while until i make some bank and just purcahse an XR6T or Foon and put my money into that. In your opinions will i see gains in my current car? Thanks guys. |

So you think it would be wise to possibly transfer mods from the current car to the next?

Personally I would get the XR6T i had an NA and spent some money on it and its not all that worth it, your going to end up shelling out some coin for minimal difference. hope ive helped

the best thing to do in my opinion is drive a simillar car that has been modified by us so you can ascertain whether or not the mods are for you. PM us with the car details, and we'll see if we can track down a simillar car for you to check out. FPVGT500 makes a very good point with the XR6T, however many people dont leave those stock for too long, people are always wanting more!!

Chris found nearly 10 rwkw out of mine and that was going from an already enhanced generic tune, i had full bolt ons aswell. After giving it a good carbon clean and some more tuning it picked up a further 8rwkw. With the diff gears it was a little ripper, great fun to drive!!

This has been done plenty of times. Read the build threads where it states what each component yileds in terms of rwkw. Pretty much everyone has modified one part or all of them before.

I'm not looking for raw figures of power, i guess i'm more after a general opinion about money vs km vs overall gains. |

It's worth it mate. I have the bpr CAI, difilippo extracters and cat then a catback exhaust. Not tuned yet, its next on my list. It's 10x better to drive now, the sound, response and fuel consumption was 13.5l/100 down to 12l/100.
Theres also no better place to get work done, I drive for an hour nd a half to get there. They know Fords Good luck |
