Default Strut Brace

Found this before. Front upper strut brace made by OMP.

It's listed as Fiesta 1.25l 05/02>

If you look at the Info next to the pics, they only have them for pre 95" Fiesta's. Correct me If I'm wrong.

EDIT: My Bad, You were right. But I still think there may be a reason why its only the 1.25l that it's listed as.

Quite possibly due to the 1.25L sitting lower then the 1.6L... meaning there is more room to work with! And, do bent strut braces really work?

would probbaly fit with out the std air filter on.

buy it if it doesnt work sell it or return it and say it didnt work.

or even better email them to ask

strut braces work if you getting suspension done and you drive hard into corners, but top one is best matched with lower sway bar upgrades

Just digging up this old thread. I ordered the OMP strutbrace on thursday last week. From a place in the UK I found that ships oversea's. Shipping was more then the brace its self lol.

This is most likly to be the last mod to my zetec I do unless its something that can be swaped over to the XR4. Cos I'll be selling up for a XR4.

Well it arrived today. Currently sitting on the floor behind me. Build quailty looks very good. Its been powder coated red but I think at some stage get it redone in a black to try and keep the bay looking stock. Install it sometime later today and go for a drive to see what its like.

Ok just went out and installed it. Took like 2 mins lol. It does seem to be touching the rubber in the middle of the car and the bottle for the brake and clutch.

Dont mind the dirty car its stage 4 water restrictions here and the tank water that I use is almost empty.

Edit:
The shipping was £62 and the strut brace itself only £59.

Ok been for a drive. The front does seem stiffer. Had some fun thru a couple of round abouts.

But I seem to have one little problem. It seems something is binding when say I take off and turn at the same time (happened once in a strait line) I can feel the accel pedal vibrate and a metallic noise. Feels kind of like what the ABS does on the brake pedal. But it only lasts for like 2seconds. I've had a quick look around the car but I cant see anything.

Ok the binding is fixed. Brace needed to be tightened up more. The front feels a lot stronger now in corners. Been having some fun on the way to and from work hehehe.

You should colour code it to the Colorado Red.
