Default Fuel Pump Problems

Hi Guys

I think my fuel pump may be packing it in, When the car is running i hear a hum comming from the rear left hand side of the car. Sounds similar to when you turn the ignition on and you hear the pump start except the hum stays there

Any ideas, the car seems to be running fine no loss of power or stalling. If it is the fuel pump is it hard to replace it.

Cheers
Alpine
