Default coolant flush

hey fellas, ive decided to flush the coolant out today, ive taken off the drain plug from the radiator and all the coolant is out of that, the gregorys manual says to disconnect the heater hose and put the garden hose down that and flush it out, im having trouble disconnecting the quick release coupling, anyone got any advice?

it pulls down like the garden hose ones right?
