It only lights up when on when the ignition is on if the light is blown good luck , remove the whole centre dash and replace and as for Orange it is only on the S1 the S2 and S3 have the LCD type clock and speedo readings.

Funny this should be mentioned , as i was wondering how to get to the light behind the clock and heater/aircon cluster too !, just found the document in the tech part before on how to remove it , thanks Russell ;) .

I used the small blue condoms ( pinched off the original globes in the elec. window switches) over some small 3mm white led's for the backlight for the odometer/dte led in the cluster , came out a nice light blue , matched well with the midnight blue led dash lights / elec windows switches etc etc, im planning on putting one of those little blue condoms over a 3mm led behind the clock too , to give it a light blue color too, to match my odometer/dte lcd lighting, and replace the heater/aircon lights with blue led's to match the rest .

Yeah looks really nice ;) . I first tried blue led's behind the odometer/dte lcd too but with the dark blue and the dash lights dark blue it was too much of 1 colour, and the lcd was a bit hard to read. Using the blue condoms over the white led's worked really well, gave it that lighter colour blue .

The globes you need for your clock are fairly specific, after running around town I ended up at the local (useless) Ford dealer and bought some for around $5 each. If your radio is easy to extract it is really not a major job to remove the centre console and replace the clock globe.
