I'll do a step by step guide for you greenfoam! I couldn't get it either, but I think that's cos I'm slow?

One: Put the key in the key hole. Do not move to ignition, leave the key in the first position.
Two: Press the milage reset button that is located at the bottom of the rev counter.
Three: While holding in the reset button, turn your key to ignition (or start the car) and continue holding in the reset button.

Within a few seconds the word 'TEST' will appear. To scroll through press the reset button below the rev counter. It should be the forth option along to get the software.

Man I was using the other button you rest stuff with :S. Ok I got codes

Software rA0
ER0 121
E01

So I guess this means the Hex number goes down with revisions rather than up since you are all running rAE ?
Errror 121?

Well all done but the missus has taken it to work so I cant see what the upgraded code is. There is a re-call on a brake booster hose which was replaced while it was in. They checked the air con and reported that its getting to 5deg. Oh and they have ordered me a new speaker! yay.

Sorry to bump up an old thread. As some may have read I had my car serviced, and just noticed the ECU still reads rAE so it has not been upgraded. Those who have had services, or perhaps a few new Fiesta owners, do you mind following the instructions on the first page and letting me know what your readout is. I'm getting some info together to really rip it into this Ford dealer. Thanks :-)

Mine reads:

4 - rAE
5 - Er0125
6 - E01
7 - dtst60
8 - 70c

So it's pretty much the same bar the option five. I'm not sure how these work though? Thanks for posting mate! Hopefully we'll understand all this soon. Might do a search of the Euro Forums.

Just to bump this went into ford today.

And got them to sort a few things on car (air con and alternator belt) anyway told em about the fault code 136 and how i got it so tehy said they would look into it..

So basically they plugged it in and got no faults what so ever, they then asked me how to do the test i did, i showed em and same code came up they then plugged the car into the code reader in front of me and it showed no codes...!!!!

I am wondering now which one to go off??...

I don't think the Error Code necessarily means there is an error, rather the version of tune or something like that. I originally had an error code of 001 now it's like 126 or something. Not sure. It does show how uneducated these guys are about the European products, I swear they only get training on the Falcon and Territory...

It would only take a single good ford service guy to answer these questions too...

Such poor service australia wide though, means none of them are game enough to come into the forums......

You'd think someone in ford sales would take a look in here just to see what their sales base is saying about their own cars....
