Hi there;
I think my drivers window motor is cactus, the switch will operate the passenger but not drivers, hence why I think its cactus. Could someone tell me if I am on the right track, and if any problems may arise with the removal of the power window motor. After removing trim One. remove three motor retaining screws Two. remove two window clip / regulator screws at the top I havent removed the top to screws as I thought the glass may come down... (yeah coward....) Any hints. Regards Paul

There was a little trick you can do to reset the power window, I think you have to flick the switch 31 times up and down. Try that before you remove it.

Carbon 'n' crud build up is a common fault with au switches, my XR8 had that problem. I have swapped the working switch over, but alas no go, thats why I think the motor is shot. Regards Paul
