What colour do you guys reckon i should paint my rocker cover.
I'm thinking either red or body colour(galaxy blue). But keep in mind i'm gonna paint the intake piping, fuse box, washer bottle and proberly the overflow bottle in galaxy blue. Any opinions |

i am actually thinking of spraying mine black this weekend. i wanted red, but i felt that it was just trying to be an XR too hard. what sort of pain are you using? is it just regular spary, or special heat resistant stuff?

It'll depend on what colour i chose.
If it's just a general colour then i'd go the heat resistant stuff, if i paint it body colour then it'll have to just be normal touch up paint stuff |

Black looks very nice indeed. I would love red, but as the VCT's have it, I would most likely choose black, then blue, but not if a heap of other under bonnet stuff is also blue. The rocker cover needs to stand out from the other blue stuff, so perhaps black.
My 2cents worth anyhow! LOL! All the best with it, remember to post pics when it's done! GK

Actually I know what'll be different and looks nice, get a can of that "Hammer Finish" Heatproof red paint, the hammer finish looks great and then it won't look XR tryhardish

Use the blue..I own a XR and I personally couldn't care less if you wanted it Red like the XRs...
The blue appealed simply because you said you were going to paint all the other stuff blue.. What you could do is possibly get a few good under the bonnet shots and then (might be a bit fiddly), colour everything you want in the blue and see what you think.. Would have to be better to try to see it on a screen and not like it than do it and hate it...

I just had my rocker cover powder coated sahara blue (the same blue FPV use on their covers on the GT's) and it looks awesome. Go the blue for sure.

I scratched mine when jamming the turbo on. So I'm stripping the paint off and polishing it to match the manifold and turbo.

you need to take the intake pipe off, remove the breather and pcv hoses, then just undo those 4 bolts, it's easy
