cant wait for delivery, still got a couple of months to go. But I thought I'd start my research on basic mods:
I've read some good things about the revo tunes? Thinking first step is a stage 1 + cobb rear engine mount Or is it better to save up and go straight to revo stage 2? They dont list the recommend intercooler/exhaust Or there's pumaspeed, or cobb, or mountune. How do you decide any help would be great thanks |

I am a bit biased on this subject, but I've got most of the Mountune parts in my FiST.
MP215 kit (intake & tune) Mountune Front mount intercooler, Mountune Yellow Silicone Boost pipes Mountune Yellow Silicone intake pipe Mountune Short throw shifter Mountune sport springs Mountune wing extensions Mountune boot & floor mats Mountune gear gaiter They are also realising a roll restrictor this wèek, (their name for the Rear Motor Mount) And I am hoping that the Cat back Exhaust, down pipe and accompanying MR tune will be realesed this month. Maybe MR 230 or 240! Your other options for off the shelf tuning are, as you mentioned Revo, Pumaspeed - Maxed tune, Collins performance & superchips bluefin. The OTS tunes are pretty good, but to advance through the stages, your best bet would be to use the same hardware parts as whats on the tuners demo car. |

Nice list of stuff !
I think you're right it's better to stick to the one brand for tunes , just want to end up with a full exhaust at a later stage so if mountune are bringing one out ill go with them Any issues ? I will probably wait just a little while in case there are any warranty issues |

It was only to replace the scissor jack, which failed on me, prob from overuse as I used it quite a few times to put the car on stands to carry out mods! But maybe if my engine or turbo blew, it would be a different warranty story! |

I only run shell V power since tuning, had a look at what fuel they use in the UK and most run Vpower there also. I can't imagine that there would be a huge difference between their Vpower and the Vpower we get here.

If you're talking first mods in terms of what you should do first, then a short-shifter absolutely needs to be #1 on your list.
Otherwise, there are so many options out there. Mountune was the go for Dreadly, and I did likewise. I'm now tossing up MR230 as it's been announced this week. Check the UK forums, as Peron is picking up quite a name for itself, and Finsport has been a favourite over there since these cars were released. Personally I don't think much of Revo, as their tunes tend to produce big numbers, but are generally quite peaky with a limited power band. I also have a personal vendetta against Pumaspeed based on previous experience dealing with them, so never will again...

So I've done about 1000 kms now , car is great fun . Definitely see the need for the short shift kit mostly for first to second, so hard to be smooth
I was set on mountune mp215 for now but I emailed Spiro at Autotech and he can do custom tunes . Noticed though everyone seems to just get off the shelf stuff for the ST. Not sure now |

Plenty of off-the-shelf options out there, so make sure you shop around - and it can't hurt to read through the UK forum for loads of experience...

I trust Spiro for a custom tune , I just thought even though officially there's no mountune warranty if something did happen it would be slightly easier to argue that it wasn't the tune |

Peron and Finsport get a good rap from the UK owners if you're interested in trying something else...

I Googled Peron and the only thing I found out was, he was a President of Argentina and his wife Eva doesn't look anything like Madonna. I found Perrin Performance UK, but it seems to only do stuff for WRX's.
