Looks very very nice bman! What are those rims called?

With the stripes, the only colour that pops into my head is black. Or perhaps gunmetal?

Well done - those wheels look 100 times better than the ones you had. Nice stance as well. Care to divulge who did the install, where you got the Eibach's from and approx cost of parts and install. I wouldn't bother with the stripes unless you want people to think you are a XR4 wannabe, besides, it now looks aggressive in a Euro kind of way.

The wheels are 17" Lenso F16's and they were so very hard to get! Eibachs came from Europarts.....200 for springs 100 for install.

Cant tell you the cost of the rims.....i promised!

Yeah i am in two minds about the stripes, i like the look of Danny's car but at the same time, dont want to go over the top.

You mean My OLD car ;) ;)

As for the bloke who said "XR4" Wannabe, When I did my stripes on me Fez a year ago, It wasn't a wannabe! How could it be a wannabe of a car that hasn't been released.

Bman, don't listen to them, I reckon you should go some black stripes on your fez ;) Looks mint ;)

The XR4 (aka ST) was released in Europe in the same year as WP Fiestas being brought into Australia. So putting ST (aka XR4) style stripes on normal Fiestas a year ago can still be considered as "XR4 (aka ST) wannabe" by some people.

mate, if you buy them local they will cost you 500, if you get them brought in from the UK 205 + 80 shipping, genuine they are, genuine certificate of testing and approval from Eibach factory included in the genuine Eibach box! LOL

Nice! Ive actually got hubcaps on the GF's barina that look like that.

As for the stripes, I would be getting a grey/dark silver. They will stand out but not be to ****y.

Not going to believe this bman - but I spotted your car this morning parked (assuming @ work?).

Looked great! Definitely made me take a second look.

Also noticed the exhaust. Didn't get a good look but it looked like a nice tip to me.

I know when I did my stripes, I set out to do something that wasn't common in Australia. I didn't do it becasue I wanted an ST wannabe replica...

Yeah, i have been quoted a great price on the stripes so even if they dont look good i can just take them off. no dramas. I think i will either match the rims or try and match the side mouldings (dark grey). i dont intend to spend money spraying them so i think i should match them.

Hey, anybody else lowered their fez? how long did it take for the springs to settle to their lowest point?

The fitter told me upto a month another mate told me a few days......

His car is "Tonic", not "Moondust Silver"... but it looks kinda silverish in the pic.

are you stalking me Steven!?!?!? LOL Where do you keep seeing it? I am on the road a bit around sydney.

When i first had the eibachs installed i had a 15mm drop and handling felt fractionly sloppier around bends than the standard Zetec springs. One week later and they have dropped another 5mm (yes i meassured when first installed) and they have stiffened up big time!! They now ride much stiffer than the Zetec's and the chassis settles much faster than before. I would go as far as to say that if they get any stiffer it will be a little to harsh for my liking, the little cracks in victoria road are becoming more noticable!

Eibach Aus confirmed that this is normal for the springs, infact they said allow one month or 1000klm before you can say that they have completly settled and expect another 5-10mm drop in that time.

Eibach also said that the problem you face in front wheel drive small cars is that there is no weight in the back to force the rear springs down......so the rear can take a little longer.

overall i say two massive thumbs up.....best money i have spent on the car.....which was the last amount of money i spend on the car....i want an XR4 or XR5 now....6 months will be taking the plunge!

Nope - Just you happen to park on my shortcut to work ;) I think I may have seen your car again this morning (not on the street though...) and I think you were just getting to work (door open).

Either way, everyday at 8.50am I'm spotting your car :

I think I know what you mean - save up for something better. That's what I decided to do with my Fiesta Zetec. By all means a great car, but I just couldn't understand why I'd keep throwing moolah at the car... only to never have a 'better' car.

XR5T is a nice choice ;) I'm tossing up late this year, early next year [only because of my Kms on the current car...] between the XR5T, Mini Cooper S (Turbo - Waiting to see what JCW does in July :1syellow1 ) and Megane 225 Cup and hopefully the Clio 197 Cup. What to do :Up_to_som

well if your going to get an XR5 than be prepared to wait ANOTHER 6 months on that and dont expect rear power windows or global windows. (unlesss you get one from a dealer that has one atm)
