There are lots of unwritten rules on how to live life. I have one rule that I've written down and it applies to anyone who eats at my place.
Vegemite that leaves the jar, is never to be returned. You take too much out, you better bloody eat it. |

Commiserations; it’s a horrible feeling. They failed to ask themselves, were the tables turned - would you be honest with them? And it’s obvious you’re a person of integrity.

Ever asked for vegimite on toast at a city cafe? Once you get past the 17 different types of bread and confuse the person by saying white, they ask light medium or heavy. So answer is heavy no butter and it comes out stingy as shit. Heavy should be a slather not a light smear.
Dont start me on asking for baked beans on toast in a cafe...... |

In the menu as “A semi-deconstructed assemblage of lightly seared, sliced artisan loaf served against beans cooked in a rich, delicately seasoned, traditional tomato jus”

Exactly, but $25 as UD suggested. A few years ago someone reported in the media, having seen a menu with “flock watcher’s pie”. That’s shepherd’s pie for everyone without pretension.

Drove a four hour round trip today to spend 10 minutes with the endodontist so he could tell me the room canal he did a year ago is all good. And that the crown the local dentist did is a good job. Why couldn't the local dentist take the two xrays of the tooth and forward them to the endodontist for review?
It's not like they charged me for the session today!

Febi branded transmission filter that seems to not seal, transmission is sucking air. Another $100 for a genuine filter and then try to strain the $150 of new fluid through a party hat before re-using. Of course it’s the job with tightest deadline.

when I put the car in to have a few things done (Toyota dealership) and they say they won't fit my new brake lines... cause they are not genuine Toyota...
They are ADR approved, so don't really see the problem.. They did fit my new Brembo Ceramic brake pads though.. and they kinda don't look genuine... Just on a side note. I wanted to get a new windscreen fitted along with all the other work I had done. I would have really like a Genuine screen, with the Toyota logo in the bottom left corner.. Hmm, Shannons give me (and anyone else who is insured with them) a free windscreen every year if you selected the glass cover option, which I have, and said they will cover the replacement cost of an aftermarket screen @ $450 from Toyota through Instant Windscreens. The genuine screen was quoted to me @ $1180! So that was a no brainer.. Happy days, no more gravel rash on the window. Yey!!

Seems to be happening to me more and more frequently these days around that 'peak time' One Man

Didn't see it but drove over a good sized nail the other day.
Took off from the lights and tyre was dead flat and by the time I reached flat land the tyre was ruined, so I needed a replacement. Like for like if possible - Bob Jane sorted me out. I told them where to find the Ford cap I had removed and told them they need to replace the cap before re-fitting rim to the car. He argued that you can fit it after and I told him that wont work. Later that day when I went back to have the rim put back on, they of course returned the car without a cap fitted - it was left on my console, every lug broken off. So I told the guy, you broke the cap. They cost about $30 and I know this because you broke one last time. It is also why I mentioned to fit it first. He talked about Ford crap, brittle plastic, etc. I talked him through step by step - Yep, the plastic is frail, so put the cap in, turn the rim around and fit the ring, then place rim on car. "AaaH, is that how you do it?" says the manager of the tyre service shop. He goes away and returns with a handful of broken caps. "The guy out back has only been here a week and busted 3 already". I could see 2 were perfectly fine. I'll take these if you are throwing them out. So I am sorted, although I now need to remove the tyre again to fit cap, which I waited an hour for someone else to do badly. Its annoying you need to rely on these clowns to get stuff done. I don't have a tyre fitting machine. I need to find someone else - its new people in there again. The first moment I thought this is gonna go bad is when I initially told him about the cap and he wrote something on the worksheet, highlighted it in yellow while telling me the people out back probably can't read - Nice, you must think so highly of your staff. Or not to use the rattle gun on my old XC because the threads on the studs are touch and go.
Sure enough, rattlegun, cross threaded. What a PITA.

Two young, innocent aussie lives (plus four others from other nations) lost whilst they're out exploring the world, expanding their experience and horizons.
Heartfelt condolences to friends and family. I can't begin to imagine the heartbreaking decision the parents of these beautiful kids had to make.

My little Maltese shi tzu best friend has been poorly of late, confirmed yesterday it’s cancer of the spleen, quite advanced, medically, she’s in trouble the rest of her body is starting to shut down.
In order to not prolong her suffering, we’ve booked THE appointment for Monday. Taken off a couple of days just to lay with her on the lounge. Feeling kinda numb and ready to burn everything down at the same time.
